I have been reading through a lot of articles, stories, journeys, success stories, and so on. I still find it confusing to decide on a particular vertical.

So here is what happens with everyone. We all start with something to master. It does not matter what we start with because we are simply using the initial vertical and offers to learn to do the work, to learn to use the tools, and to gain the help, direction, and recommendations from your fellow marketers. Once you master the your initial efforts, 2 or 3 months, you will then have the skills to add other areas of marketing and other tools.

DO NOT SWITCH MIDSTREAM! Stick with your initial choices until you master them!
