New user - coming vendor

Hi,

I've been wanting to ad affiliates to my site for a long time but this is such a jungle so hoping to find some expert advice here. I didn't know there are special 'vendor' accounts but I guess I will create one when I'm ready to launch (I assume 'vendor' is a site that has affiliates, right?).

No a vendor is just a product producer, service or network that would do business with this website's membership.
A vetted vendor is just a person/business with vetted accountability -- someone for real and not a scammer -- financial and contractual responsibility and 'assumed, based on some evidence' to exist as a real party or business entity.

As a vendor you can offer (solicit) some activity in public posts. See the little badges under the avatar images on the far left? Those are authorized vendors.
