I am new to the world of affiliate marketing but am aware of the benefits that it provides. I have a number of very novice questions which I'm hoping someone will be kindly able to answer for me.

1) How do you put affiliate links on to a website site?
2) What is the best way to approach companies about affiliate programmes if they don't already have one?
3) If you have no experience in web development then what is the best way to create the site?
4) Any tips on how to best market the site?
