You are picking very complicated subjects to get real hard data to work with IMHO.
Most of what I have read on the web is mainly conjecture and hyperbole toward better SEO (e.g.: crock of bullshit written for elGoog).
Both are legitimate marketing paths but their application is not at all uniform -- some things may work and many will not.
You would have to understand the theory and take a test site then apply these marketing paths in such a way as be able to show real statistical results -- not an easy task at all.

I have the same topic ... was hoping to find more advices hereHi all,
i would like to write my master thesis on UX design or gamification. But i have no ideas concerning what exactly i will/can research/develop so that it has value. Maybe some of you have any ideas please?
