Making Moka coffee with Claude

These AI bots ramble on

Ha Yeah,

I ran some extensive prompts over the weekend. Wow, they really out do themselves every time now. I had one fairly deep prompt return almost 3,000 words and it was not ready for prime time in any way.

Interesting thread. I’ve played around with AI for content ideas, but never trusted it to actually build anything serious like a funnel — too much fluff, not enough structure. Still, it's fun to experiment. Anyone tried prompting it for short, punchy ad copy instead of long-form stuff?

  • Say: Limit your reply to <300 char or <700 char you can set the boundaries of character count
  • You can bounce your key takeaways off AI and refine your positioning of each until you get the reply to convey your "message"
  • You cannot ask: make me a ad to tell this item—you will get a bunch of bullshit from other similar ads AI has seen—useless but not all that different than using an ad spy tool and ripping the other guys text.

**You can refine and express ideas.**
But you can't just tell AI, I want this to this do that because if you do, it's just going to spill out a bunch of bullshit that it has input from the internet.
Sometimes it's useful and sometimes it's a bunch of garbage.

So if it's useful, you have to further define it or refine it, or as AI understands—remix this with that, and create a paragraph of 200 characters or whatever count that you want PER PARAGRAPH. Do not let it ramble on to a few pages!

Moka pots are such a classic way to brew a strong, rich cup of coffee. It’s always fun to see how different people approach making their coffee – especially when it’s with a specific method like Claude’s
