That's a very solid point but I have a question about that.
How can you be really unique? After all, you can only research from other sources and write your stuff, right?
Blogs are great. Even if you don't have a blog, you might still need a landing page if you're trying to sell a product.
Without a blog, your only options are driving traffic from social media pages/accounts, like FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
Usually, you won't just advertise your affiliate link as it is against the rules on most affiliate programs. That's why you'll send the traffic to your landing page where you have a description (article) with the affiliate link.

Yeah, true indeed. I mean, a website is always required but I was talking from the business feasibility POV.

A blog is feasible every other time, whether its in 2019 or 2020. A blog is very important for affiliate marketing since you can create posts related to your preferred niche and creatively share on social media. That way, you stand a chance of getting more converting traffic than if you don't have a blog
I think as long as Google is around then a blog is a good idea. I've read some of the posts above and they both showcase how having a blog can help you drive your traffic from different sources back to one centerpiece. You can use your blog to send your social media outlets there, you can use your blog to rank in Google with SEO and you can use your blog as another way to tie together all the offers you're pushing into one common place-your blog

That was not my point. Google will still be there and it can still be dominated by large business organizations with deep pockets. The question is, is it worth it for average affiliate marketers like us?

Yeah! Creating content really helps you! It might not be easy to be successful with your blogs. But there is a chance to work out as long as you write unique content and update your blogs regularly.

Sure, blogging is and will be relevant in the coming years. The only thing you have to keep in mind is making the content SEO optimized, rich with keywords to keep it alive and engaging.
