Seeking Help (IG) old accounts vs new accounts

I have this old IG account (18k) that I grew by mainly paying shoutouts. It barely has any reach now because its old and never active. Is it better if I just start with a brand new IG account or use the old one?

Better for growing long term. I heard some accounts are just "bad" because they are old acc and inconsistent so they get less reach and its easier to just start over with a fresh acc. I could be wrong I just heard this from somewhere long time ago and I dont know anything about the algorithm.

if the old account simply has no interaction then in my opinion it is better to use the old account than to start from the new one

Maybe because your account is not consistent with content, the content you upload has not impressed customers.
