why don't you learn paid ads, that's where the money is.
SEO is a long tail game.

It is hard to start when you have ZERO basic fan group or community (I am experiencing this). The only way you get "safe traffic", as far as I know, is to build your own fan group or establish your own fame through social networks, which take as much time and efforts as normal SEO. Another way is to cast advertisements, which is a little bit costly.
Effort or money? make your choice.
