Hello, everyone! My friend and I have created our own online store for painting clothes and we also sell some sketches. Our audience is mostly young people, so we need to come up with some fun and creative designs. Can anyone help us with this? Maybe you have some ideas about the choice of colors? I think it's very important, especially for an online store.

painting clothes?
  • Clothes to wear for painting?
  • Or, clothes that are decoratively painted to wear?
Vibrant colors rather than pastels or gradients ... A bolder look perhaps.
Buy some ads on TikTok and create an a<=>b ad creative to test 2 different color schemes. See which 'earns' more click through. Invest in testing your demographic market's affinity towards color scheme.

I myself have been a blue man from the go! However, recently I searched about the most liked colors by people and blue was also the top, green and red were 2nd and 3rd after that I believe. But I think you should go with what you like. It could be orange, pink or whatever, I think girls like pink a lot. But you should go with what you like.

Since color is such a pivotal aspect of the store, it seems that you'll have to design each URL in a different way (different background, captivating CTAs...) so that visitors get inspired the more they explore the site (I'm assuming you'll have some sort of categories to pick from). High-res photos are a must, obviously. As for the color of the logo, you need something that your audience will find relatable and cool - I'm guessing you already had an idea of what that is when conceptualizing the store...

Hello OP,

One approach to finding suitable colors for you is to choose 1-2 colors from the relevant context. For example, if you're selling sailboats, you can draw inspiration from the typical setting. That might include beige for sand/beach, blue for the sea, and a yellow/red tone for the sunrise.

Once you have 1-2 main colors, you can discover complementary colors using tools like "Coolors". I hope I could give you a potential path here.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't pay attention to how old this thread is. :D But my post might be helpful to other users.

That sounds like a great project — congrats on launching your store! Since your audience is mostly young people, I’d suggest focusing on bold, vibrant colors like neon green, electric blue, coral, or lavender. These tend to grab attention and feel fun and trendy.

agree with you , all of this colours will be great choice .

Some great tips here! For a store targeting young people, I think bold and playful colors like neon, lavender, or even pastel combos can work really well. Coolors is a solid tool too, helps a lot with picking matching shades. I definitely agree that testing different palettes with ads is a smart move.

Stick to bold contrasts like orange and blue or muted pastels with black line art for a softer vibe. Memes, astrological themes, and low-fi vibes are trending hard with younger crowds. Consider drops or limited runs for hype too.

Cool idea, respect! For a young audience, pastel colors with some neon details work great right now. Also, minimalistic line art with deep meaning — like hearts, planets, eyes, suns, etc. You can also check Pinterest trends — tons of inspiration there
