How to avoid fake Maxbounty offers?

Hello there guys,

it's been sometime since I last experimented with marketing CPA offers

now I am doing it again

My concern here: I chose a maxbounty sweepstake offer (US geotargeted). Comission details read--> email submit:$1.80 per lead

Before spending on traffic I asked a friend from Phoenix, Arizona to sign up for it to see if it really worked.

He told me he submitted his email and then was asked a lot of questions on his health and credit conditions. Then again got redirected to other surveys and some credit card offers. Also got a confirmation email which he promptly confirmed and was again redirected to more questions and offers until he finally gave up.

In the end, the offer got his email and I got no comission. Why was it?
Is maxbounty for real?

I see so many testimonials of people making money there. is it really possible?is it a matter of luck regarding findind an offer with real payout?

Hmm I dont know for sure.... That's a good question

I just gave the link and he proceeded to test from his desktop .. windows 10 , chrome used

It gave me an idea... Maybe it would be better to direct people to a landing page that somehow rnsure that cookie's are working fine

I think that has to do with the advertiser @Graybeard or the cpa network.
but i don't think the cpa network will scam you.

remember -- no good for SEO (now) that script made bank years ago. Make sure that you test it on modern browsers << warning stopped using it 3 years ago

You probably got shaved in order that network will get some payouts lately for that but do not pay you. So please keep that in mind, when I tested that I was just fine with getting money for test leads, but that was your bad luck and my good luck. Try not to promote those at all.

I don't think he got shaved on purpose.
What probably happened is that the offer wasn't active anymore, which means you'll be get redirected to another offer (most of the times).

A lot of affiliate networks do not always track offer statuses, which means that inactive offers still show as active.

An affiliate network only earns money if you do too, they won't shave you for a few bucks.

Dude, i am running sweepstakes(CC Submit and SOI) with maxbounty and got my first payout (4 figure) 2 days back. The sort of testing you done, sending link to a friend, isn't gauging the quality at all. It's called fooling around. I have heard few stories, people sending links to their friends in their targeted GEO for the offer and getting conversions and then when it is found out, their account banned. Steer carefully and try out with actual traffic mate!

The was no cookie set if required
The affiliate code in the URL ?query was not captured
The SOI/DOI CPA was not posted back to the affiliate network
The offer was still listed after it had expired or had been withdrawn.

98% it will be one of the above ...
Verify that the offer (SOI or DOI) is still valid Monday with Maxbounty.
