How do I find profitable niches?

I just launched my first affiliate site, a gardening blog. I'm spending hours creating content, but most products I promote have tiny commissions. Is my niche doomed for low profits, or is there a smarter way to find truly profitable affiliate niches? Anyone can give me some good affiliate programme out there?

Well from what i know gardening niche its big one and you should find products
Just the problem i think this niche fits mainly for fizical products and if you go to amazon affiliate for example you will have a maximum comision of maximum 5 percent as an example

Maybe you should dive in into niches that fits with digital products where you get a higher comision per sale like 50 percent or more
so if you promote a product costing 100$ you will get 50$ compared to a psihical product where you will get maximum 5$ if you promote a 100$ product

I probably spent $700 this year on gardening and "forester" tools.
Best if you get the repeat sales as an affiliate. You don't with Amazon. That is all referrer cookie based.
If you customers return however, the cookie based sale occurs again—even if it is a registered account. So it can work out well sometimes.
