Thanks to @Graybeard help I have tracked more than 1k search terms from internal site search using Google Analytics (@Strickland - no I'm not sharing it :D), what I find is too many spelling mistakes, this returns no service & product pages - how can I make all mistakes return one page?

Example
page = google.com

Customer queries
  • googoel
  • googel
  • giogle
  • foogle
  • googlr
  • gooogl

I recommend everyone using Google Analytics to set up internal search monitoring, the intelligence about what customers want has helped me generate alot of extra bucks

This can be a good source for hits on search queries, but as I understand that in large search engines competition is big even for this kind of traffic.

Return where?
you can rewrite the 404 on your server --if that is what you are asking
