Hello,

Do you think it is a good idea to have a different FB Page for each vertical? I have one FB Page that I consider to be more of a "general" consumer protector type of page that I think can encompass numerous different verticals but I've heard from some people saying that FB will use the page likes to help optimize campaigns. Any merit to this? What do you guys usually do if you advertise on FB? Thank you!

If you're doing affiliate stuff I'd have several pages, as FB likes to ban for no reason. I don't believe the number of likes matters at all for optimization. First time I've heard that LOL.

Page traffic seems to influence the search algorithms at Twitter -- maybe try that at Facebook.
Likes are like backlinks -- don't matter so much because many are not genuine.

It doesn't hurt to have more than 1 fb page, ever.

It's smart to build out pages for your segmented user types

For example, Business Insider started out posting viral clips

then they branched off to show ALL viral videos, and changed their name of that page to just simply "Insider"

Now they have dozens of pages like:

Insider Travel
Insider Food
Insider Cannabis
Insider Health
All kinds of stuff like that!!

Another example, is if you're a supplmements company, and your brand name is "GainZ" for example, you can make pages like:

"GainZ Women"
"GainZ Men"
"GainZ Mexico"
"GainZ Food"

And post the relevant content to each page ;)
