Facebook groups - growth hacking - how?

Hello guys,

I am wondering if there is an 'easy' way to capitalize on Facebook groups. I read a lot of stuff about bringing value, promoting group in other channels, moderating it, etc.

However, are there any other tips/hacks that can help with fast growing your group? What decides if group appears in search results when you type in a keyword? How to get first 100/1000 people in group without spending hours and hours on 'promoting it' and if you do not have (or can't use) other channels?

Are there any sources of information regarding that matter? Or maybe FB groups are not worth it and it is a waste of time?

How long did it take you to build an audience and were you able to monetize it?

Thanks all for any insights.

Loads of valuable content and multiple posts daily. Everything on FB revolves around some type of content and the valuable groups provide some unprecedented branding and content to grow rapidly and to continue growth.

CONTENT IS KING!

If there is one thing that I have noticed it is that most people in facebook groups do not want people going around advertising stuff so it is a very bad idea The way to make sure that you get their attention is by havig some interesting content. There are facebook groups for various reasons. Just browse through them and you will find a good one.

Facebook Advertising is a great way to bring in business, but a better approach would be to attract the right audience using Facebook groups.

Facebook groups are a better route to take because you have a set of people to communicate with that matches your target audience. It is one of the best ways to engage with your audience on a regular basis, instead of using Facebook advertising and hoping to cut through the clutter.

Identify which groups to join – groups that match with your business and will have a similar target audience. Once the admin lets you in, make sure you carefully read the group guidelines and follow them while posting and interacting. Remember, you don’t want to get kicked off the group and lose potential customers.

It’s important to share content if you want to better promote your business. Ask the group admin if you can post an article (instead of just sharing a link.) This is a good way to have followers and group members experience what your brand is about. Ask the admin if you can post, stating why it will be useful for the group members. Some group admins will say yes and others might turn you down, but the important thing is to ask!

On the other hand, you can also create your own Facebook group and connect with like-minded people. Start with an attractive cover image that is eye-catching and relevant. Then, add a pinned post (either your most popular post or thread) or a pinned post stating what the group is about along with guidelines. This is a little boring, but it gets the job done for anyone who comes across your group for the first time.

Another great way to grow is by creating a group of superfans within your group who will help post and promote your group’s messages and links. By giving them moderator status, they can post on your behalf as well.

Start a "how to make (something)" FB channel
Example
How to make breakfast
Every day you make breakfast from a different country
5 minutes video and post to FB
You will get a lot of comments (especially if you make mistakes!)
But make it fun
And you will get a big audience
Also you will get search traffic
There is no end to products you could promote
  • health
  • nutra
  • kitchen
  • gadgets
  • high tech
  • books
  • travel
  • ** offer of the day **
  • ** sponsor of the day **
When choosing products its anything affordable that saves them time/money
