The simplistic answer is to target people that participate in online surveys --pretty useless. However:

Well, every thing in that mindmap graphic I posted above would relate to your searches for demographic and other KPI indicators (good stuff to consider).

No one said you were rude. We have told you though, several times, that demographics are things like gender, interests, age, income level, marital status, etc. There are many more. That is what you target for traffic along with location (geo). You also need to build your funnel around the niche. Niches include dating, technology, wellness, beauty, etc. Most offers are targeting sub-niches of the primary niches.

Would market research be a good demographic?
In my experience, you can’t just guess your demographic. That’s why I used Vision One Research for their segmentation work. I needed more than surface-level data like age or gender, I wanted to understand motivations, behaviors, and decision drivers.

Their approach helped clarify the why behind the audience, which made targeting and messaging way more focused. Spending upfront on proper research felt a lot safer than wasting months marketing to the wrong people.

!!! RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT !!!

This is so ignored by the vast number of beginner and most of the intermediate level affiliates. It's common sense. It is exactly what corporations have done for more than a hundred years with great success and yet the affiliates that are new, reasonably new, and much of those at the intermediate level "blow it off" saying "it's expensive", "I don't need it", "I can do it for free", "blah", "blah", "blah"!

WAKE UP NEWBIES!

StevenTR99 advice is SPOT ON! It is exactly what every smart marketer does. They get the "deep data" for highly refined targeting!
