personally i think testing ads yourself first is extremely important before onboarding affiliates. not even just for proof of concept — but because it forces you to understand where the funnel actually breaks.
affiliates scale much faster when the advertiser already understands what angle converts, which creatives fail, what user intent works best, and what retention looks like after signup. otherwise affiliates end up doing all the discovery work for you
