Evaluate Domain Backlinks?

Over the last few days I have been searching for domains with backlinks. Found one domain that has backlinks that are medium authority. The domain was last relevant 4 years ago, has 10 to 15 backlinks from medium authority.

How would you evaluate the ad-revenue potential of a domain? Is it worth registering for $10 to retrieve content from wayback machine & include ads? As I own my servers, the only cost is registering the domain, & an evening to put in the work.

Personally I don't see the value in so few backlinks. As for the revenue, well it will all depend on content, the niche, audience demographics, etc. All the backlinks may provide is some SEO utility, maybe. Ad revenue potential has nothing to do with the domain, it has to do with demographics and content!

I wound up going with BPM Ohio - DJ Equipment and Rentals
Interestingly, in my search over just a week I found a major instragram account that was unregistered & linked from 3 resources with lots of traffic.
