So then customers dont have to even click on a website to purchase a product they are looking for?

Or will google always have the normal link format when looking for products and services?

ChatGPT 5 provides direct links to e-commerce sites to make purchases.
I don't use Google search with some exceptions—it's spammy garbage IMO.

I think we're moving toward AI-assisted shopping, but I don't think traditional websites will disappear anytime soon. For many products, users may be able to compare options and even complete purchases directly through AI if merchants integrate checkout features.

That said, websites will still be important for branding, detailed product information, customer trust, and SEO. I see AI becoming another sales channel rather than replacing websites entirely.
