Why are there always merchants whose listings cannot be found in Marketplace, whether using their seller ID or domain? But, the default clickbank redirect link can still lead to the right landing page, and the checkout page still uses Clickbank without any apparent anomalies? Does this mean these merchants have been removed from clickbank or not? How can I confirm if a merchant is still within the Clickbank system and allowed to be promoted? Examples: mediterr abiohealth AEROTYNE

How can I confirm if a merchant is still within the Clickbank system

Per ClickBank (this was in one of many documents I received at a CB conference in 2018. I don't promote their offers any more)
JV Contracts: Vendors often use "hidden" or private offers, sometimes managed through special JV contracts, that are only available to specific, high-performing affiliates rather than the general public.
Private/Direct Partnerships: Sellers on ClickBank can create relationships with specific affiliates to promote exclusive deals that do not appear in the standard marketplace search.
"Sleeper" Offers: While not intentionally hidden, many new or niche products ("sleeper" offers) are not highly visible in the top rankings, allowing savvy affiliates to find them before they become oversaturated.
Geographic Restrictions: ClickBank limits participation from certain countries, meaning affiliates from those locations may not see or have access to all offers.
Encrypted Links: While not a way to hide the offer from the affiliate, ClickBank does use encrypted HopLinks to hide the affiliate's nickname from competitors and spy tools.

this usually means the product is still live in clickbank’s system, but the vendor has chosen to hide it from the public marketplace or removed it from browse/search results. some vendors do this to control who promotes the offer, reduce low-quality traffic, or run it as a private or semi-private offer.

if the hoplink still resolves correctly and the checkout loads on clickbank’s domain, the product is technically still active and payable. clickbank will not process payments for removed or banned products.

the only real ways to confirm status are - ask the vendor or affiliate manager directly, request approval through the vendor’s affiliate page, open a ticket with clickbank support and ask if the product is active and promotable. and if a product disappears from marketplace, it does not automatically mean it was banned. a lot of high-volume offers run privately.

if you’re planning to run paid traffic to clickbank offers, make sure you get explicit approval from the vendor first, especially for aggressive traffic sources. we run redirect, push, and video traffic on a self-serve cpc/cpm model, so if you’re testing clickbank offers and want another traffic source with full bid and placement control, feel free to reach out and compare notes.
