how many visitors/day do you get on an average day?

October 2k/day
November 1.5k/day

I have 10 target keywords, each one is < 6k searches > /month
6k searches x 10 keywords = 60k searches, divide it by 30 days = 2k/day
Alot of traffic comes from variation search queries

are you still ranking these sites organically or are you incorporating some paid traffic as well?

100% organic traffic from day 1
Just following the Google guidelines
Most people ignore guidelines
It's very simple to rank on Google
But requires dedication and alot of tesing

I set up daily site audit with different software (its checking for broken links, page loading speeds, bounce rate, mobile usability, tap target accessibility on smart phone & tablet, content readability, Google rank, Bing rank, and I get email if pre-set thresholds are breached)
Can you recommend some software for this?

register a .com for $1 what does every year after cost?
I have probably kept my older .coms for an average of 9 years (a few almost 20 years) so it might pay to lose money the first year --the Verisign registry sold names to registrars for $8 last I checked ...

@EuronGreyjoy What strategy do you use to find new niches and long tail keywords?

It's good question, and I'm not expert but it's working for me ..

1. Find problem
2. Identify solution
3. Research keyword volume

1. Look for problem -->

Find problems in your category by always looking for latest trends (Google Trends), products that solve problems (there is channel with 29 million subscribers called Popular on You Tube), reading latest news (I post in thread most days)

Tips
  • Stay in 1 category (example. gaming, clothing, courses)
  • Subscribe to updates if you can (Google Trends, You Tube, blogs, podcasts)
  • Read latest news about a. your industry, b. affiliate marketing
  • Use digital calendar and create notifications to your phone
2. Find solution for problem -->

To find solutions the product or service must already exist on market, and I research best selling products (you can find Amazon Best Sellers in every category updated 24 hrs), many websites you can order product database by 'most popular', also see what company is promoting in PPC

Tips
  • Make sure the product/service is selling in volume
  • Read customer reviews (4/5+ stars or 80%+ positive)
3. Research keywords -->

Keyword research is very fast, use a tool like Wordtracker, Semrush, Google Keywords Planner and look at keyword levels to make sure there is volume in the long tail for all your deep level pages, example. gaming > games > pc games > pc strategy games > pc strategy games 2020 > age of empires, this is also your site heirachy

Tips
  • Make sure you looking at correct country volume
  • Use 2+ sources to check keyword volume
  • Choose a stable keyword (beware seasonal keyword)
  • Ignore 'difficulty' metric

Good tip, how do you go about finding that out?
  1. Go to Amazon.com bestsellers (top 100 in US)
  2. Find product (example. Adasion 12x42 Binoculars for Adults with New Smartphone Photograph Adapter, position #8 of Amazon for binoculars, & 5/5 rating)
  3. Multiply number of product reviews (example. 3,086) x 10* = 33,860 sales
  4. Days from product posted (example. July 28, 2019 to today) = 483 days
  5. 483 days divided by 30 = 16.1 months
  6. 33,860 (sales) divided by 16.1 (months) = 2,103 (sales/month)
But it's just guess, to show if its selling
Idk if 10% of customer makes a review?

@EuronGreyjoy
Thanks for your research. As I understand it, to get into the top ten a new site needs a carefully selected keyword. When you choose a niche what frequency of monthly queries are you targeting?
Second question on content: what content structure do you choose? Is this a review? Or are you building a funnel landing page?

2% maybe IDK
I would use that number (and i think it's high?)

TY @Graybeard I will use 2% in future
@AmNovice here's re-calc use in future to find sales of Amazon bestsellers
1 customer rating = < 50 > sales

For binoculars example
3,386 rating (2% of sales)
3,386 divide by 2 = 1,693 rating (1% of sales)
1,693 rating x 100 = 169,300 (100% of sales)
169,300 sales divide by 483 days = 350 sales/day
350 sales x 30 days = 10,500 sales/month
