banner advertising

I'm creating a local website (news, forums, classifieds etc) similar to this one: http://www.castanet.net and will be charging for banner advertising but have no idea what to charge. Any input would be grateful. Thanks Mike

Well, you could shop around and see what other people are charging. But it can depend on what they are advertising versus what is on your site. I think it is very subjective. Why don't you sign up for various affiliate program where you could choose the banners you want to display? Then you would not have to find people willing to pay to place banners on your site. And of course at the same time make a little money.
