Hello. I've come across many sites which state that Google doesn't prefer much link juice or no link juice at all after you submit your sites to Directories. Wondering if Directory submission is still a healthy way for gaining some good rankings?
Re: Is Directory Submissions Still an Effective Way for Link Building in 2015?
Most directories, especially general directories with no screening for quality control, are of little value for SEO these days. Some niche directories may bring you some traffic but basically any directory which accepts all submissions or even almost all submissions you should just stay away from.
Look for those that are manually screened but again do this mainly for potential traffic, and don't expect at whole lot of that.

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates.
