Apps to be used for multiple networks

Which pieces of software (mobile and desktop) do you use to keep up to date with multiple socila networks?

I current use windows 7 and an android phone - an app called everypost came to light yesterday in my search so just wondere if there were others that are better and which is best for a desktop too...
