honestly ads are probably harder psychologically now, not dead financially.

competition is heavier, platforms are stricter, and optimization cycles are more aggressive. but if anything, serious buyers with patience and data discipline probably have a bigger edge now because most people quit too early during testing.

PREACH!

This has always been a perceived obstacle for most newbies because it is one of the first things they learn is a requirement. It's work and they think it is still 1996 when a toddler could put a pdf up online for $2 and sell hundreds of them in a weekend.

It's a business, it requires learning, it requires investment, it requires lots and lots of work. The rewards are there for those that immediately adopt this ethic and ethos. A year of dedication to those requirements will likely net most with a stable and growing business that has no ceiling. This is how all of todays new super affiliates do it, it is how all of our past super affiliates did it!

Ads are definitely not dead, but the game has completely changed in 2026. It’s no longer about 'spray and pray' with cheap traffic.

From what I’ve seen, the profits now are moving towards much tighter, data-driven optimization. If you're still relying on broad targeting and generic ad creatives, margins are razor-thin. But for those who are leveraging high-quality, intent-based traffic and deep-linking into specific niches, the ROAS is actually stronger than ever.

The 'death' of ads is really just the death of low-effort campaigns. What kind of verticals are you currently testing?
