Amazon has numerous rules which affiliate marketers must not break unless they want to get banned. Posting affiliate links on sites that don't allow them is just one of the few common infraction that could get you banned.

A few ways to avoid getting banned:

- Don't offer anyone incentives to click on your Amazon affiliate link.
- Don't "cloak" your affiliate links. Amazon doesn't like it. They want people to know it's a link pointing them to Amazon.
- Don't send you affiliate link in emails. It doesn't matter if it's to a friend. Should Amazon find out they will ban you.
- Share your affiliate links online "sparingly." If you overdo it you'll attract attention and since Amazon doesn't want their affiliates to post links on sites they don't own, it could get you banned.

Day by day it's very difficult to promote amazon. It's better to move CPA or CPS.

I think Amazon is still viable. I hear many members across the forums say they are getting tougher. I hear this about all other areas of marketing as well. Nothing is getting tougher, nothing! What happens with growth is platforms become more sophisticated and comprehensive which in turn requires them to implement more rules. Let's face it, marketers don't like rules. However, because of the level of corruption online, companies keep adding more requirements of the marketers to prevent fraud and other criminal behaviours.

This is a pattern we all must learn to adapt to, or get out of the game.
