Day 17-18 Jan
Ok after looking through a whole bunch of threads and seoblogposts, shaun and honeybadger.
I decided to give the SEO a go.

Here's where i am at currently.
Website + hosting done.
Site theme is customify and SSL is activated.
16 products - 4 different categories added (nothing close to coolesthoodies yet but will get there slowly.)
Privacy policy updated.
Most of the plugins from honeybadger 2022 publisher thread are on the wordpress site and are 70% completion.
Meta description have been edited and google site kit has been attached.
Google excel sheet is active and has all links of amazon, to replace links if the seller if runs out of it like honeybadger suggested.

Logo was done half baked(lines are swiggly, ill fix it when i come around to it, favicon is just the tracing of the logo but oversized), i just used my deco03 to trace a comfy looking shoe and made that into the logo.

Site map has not been submitted, Bing webmasters and yahoo? webmaster is still pending, duckduckgo if possible as well.
Social accounts are signed up.

Currently applying for amazon central, most of the products already have an amazon link but thats just so that i can show that there is something on the site.
Video will be done on the 19th-20th for all the current products on the store.
Hosting is the same one that seoblogposts currently has.( i stalked the webhosting site through google)

Categories are done? of sorts
Yoast SEO to work the SEO Description.
Images have alt description
Privacy policy is updated.

UberSuggest is next on the list.
i would like to have the slug move into filename hierarchy such as website/hoodie/product instead of just website/product. i can probably change it through permalink settings, that's also on the list.
H1 Tag only in the most appropriate places and respective h2,h3 tags.

i would definitely like some opinion on this from you guys, honeybadger, gray beard, T J , shaun, Seoblogposts...
if possible i would like to share the domain in the Dm but rest of relevant information on the thread.
There's a lot of work to be done but fingers crossed on getting ranked..

Try to set good priories:
  1. UX referral satisfaction with the content offerings, review, descriptions, etc.
  2. Then worry about the SEO technical end.
Remember 50 million clowns are trying to out-do each other with the same SEO 'cookbook' .

Many fewer webmasters are concerned with the referred/visitors/viewers finding of value in their work.
That's good SEO :)

Got it. will write that into the checklist for every product/page.

Best of luck !!!

Logo Refixed,
People glance at your logo
they dont dwell on it
make it look professional and simple
think Target or Walmart or Cisco
they are not complicated
should be png not jpeg
made all links to amazon links.
Manually added Amazon links?
Videos on every product
Where are you getting videos from?
again make them professional and simple
not too short or too long
60 seconds is good
Added a bunch of more products.
Optimize 1 product
better than adding 100 unoptimized products
I learnt this lesson the hard way
Changed the Slug to accommodate how i wanted it to look(website/hoodie/product instead of just website/product.)
Social Sites done.
I use website/product
sometimes website/category/product
but make sure the full URL
appears in Google SERPs
Google, yahoo, bing sitemap submit will be done this week or this sprint.
Did you sign up for
  • Google Site Kit
  • Bing Webmaster Tools
  • Yoast

only need to do it once
but I learnt something else
your sitemap.xml
contains multiple sitemaps
sitemap-category.xml
sitemap-products.xml
sitemap-pages.xml
sitemap-posts.xml
--> submit all of these sitemaps
to GSC
once
Making sure internal linking is over 50%.
Internal linking to pillar pages
use Yoast to make pillar pages important
there is a setting for this
Only the homepage is being indexed so far.
Well done
many people dont even achieve this
I keep a daily log
using Google Drive Sheets
  • published pages
  • indexed pages
  • indexed images
  • Google impressions
  • Google clicks
  • product ad clicks
  • product sales volume
  • commission amount
and try to increase all columns
day by day

Gonna start on ubersuggest for keyword and ideas.
Start with free account
move to paid when you are ready
contact support for discount
you will pay less by accessing
from different locations
try using a proxy or VPN
discount can be upto 70%
Thanks for the all the love ❤️
You deserve the love
you are taking action
and sharing so we all learn

I am also trying to start my blogging journey, I picked up lots of tips from this thread. Hardest choice is the keyword and content planning thing. I am trying to write a blog about gym and tech stuff, I also want to try crypto but these niches are really hard. Maybe some local SEO on the side for fun? We'll see.

I would love to hear about this journey. I also finished a website with auto posting 1 month ago, and with 1000+ blog posts still 0 traffic...
