Thanks for all the input!
No Forbes, is not paying.
When it comes to monetizing, the first avenue will be sponsored content. I had a look at the website you linked, and it indeed screamed Web 1.0, haha.
All the content is manually selected, then pieced together to fit in - it's the only way...
Update time!
Weekly stats
266 subscribers - More than I thought so early but some friends helped spread the word.
60% open rate - dropped a little but not very surprised after the big increase in subscribers.
15% click rate - this varies significantly by how much I emphasize a link should be...
What was your plan for monetizing back then? What would you do different now?
There are several examples where hand editing such a newsletter works, so I wouldn't discount the model only based on that factor.
Hmmm, that's strange - the link still works for me. Can you try in incognito mode? Maybe you have some extensions that block it since it's a "view in browser" version directly from ActiveCampaign. It works for others too so I think it's likely to be something on your side.
Regarding plans - I'm...
It's Google's policy to not accept Voluum links - their reason I can only assume is Voluum's user base and its filtering capabilities that can help cloaking.
I don't know if so called steady income has much to do with it... It depends on your existing situation, goals and strategy but at the end of the day, it should be mostly about ROI.
Here's an example - $50k now or $100k over 5 years. Which is better?
Btw, I'm not against rev-share. I just...
Hi Affiliate Fix community,
In case you missed my short intro thread (so many new ones already) I'll introduce myself again.
I’m not new to affiliate marketing, and not that new to this forum but I’ve only been an occasional lurker in the past 3 years (even before making an account) since I...
From my perspective, revshare has 2 big disadvantages:
1. It hurts your cashflow - you need way more time to get money back if you are a media buyer.
2. The affiliate takes even more risk than usually. You need to trust your business partner much more when doing revshare with them. If they are...
What sort of verticals did you try?
The main advice is to start with a cheaper source (Google AdWords not ideal there) and with offers that have lower payout, like some sweepstakes.
Your goal should be to get constant conversions to be able to work on the next step, which is optimization...
Hey all,
Is anyone in Prague for the Crypto Affiliate Conference happening there next week? I'm based in Vienna so gonna head to Prague for the few days.
There are usually 2 groups of clean campaigns.
First group and the most common one for affiliates is where the campaign follows the rules of the traffic source(s) and the advertiser.
The second, less common group is an offer that adds real value, that is ethical. Ethics are not so cut and dry...
Angle and offer are very close as importance imo.
I'd say the angle is close second to the offer. A very good offer will convert even with a weak(ish) angle but a crap offer will not convert even with the absolute best angle proven in other offers.
Thanks! Gotta be honest, takes a bit of time to get familiar with the areas I can be most active in... I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in a few days of constant activity :)
Does poker count? :D
I used to play online poker for a living between 2011 and 2014, good times. A lot of ups and downs just like in affiliate marketing.
