Wordpress Edit Question

Not sure if this is the right place for this question but here it is.

I want to add an affiliate link to the footer of my wordpress blog, hosted on my own domain. But when I go to edit the footer all I get is something like this:

eval(gzinflate(base64_decode('DZe3EoTIFUV/RZl2iwDvStrdwsPgGXyiwnvv....

How do I find where to edit the footer? I just want to add a link to my web host in the footer.

Is that a custom WordPress theme?

What are you using to edit the foooter when you see that code?

Are you trying to edit "live" on the server?
