Which language to choose for geos?

Which language to choose while driving traffic to specific countries?

I'm trying to drive traffic to Iran in one campaign and Indonesia in another one.
The language is Arabic and Indonesian rrspectivly.

When choosing this targeting, I always get the prediction of less that 1000 impressions on PopAds.

Can you suggest the best practice about this kind of "non english" tageting?

For example if I target Brazil, which is Portuguese, should I target just Portuguese language or also spanish and english?
To what is referring the targeting? To the language the phone is setup or to what?

I think most of us typically target the native language of the geo. I use native speakers to transpose my ad copy and my landing pages so they are as accurate as possible. This can be very challenging sometimes, even in places like the U.S. because dialects also play a role in all of this. When I place ad copy for many parts of the southern U.S. I often have to rethink the copy. Sometimes one has to split campaigns due to specific political and religious implications in some geos.

You will build up a file of notes over time as you enter, test, and explore the various nuances of the geos. you mentioned Brazil. There are actually several dialects of Portuguese in Brazil and they each have their little differences.

Start exploring and testing your geos and try to find reasonably priced native translators that specialize in copy. There are loads of them out there, easy to find, and reasonable priced. I get them on Fiverr, Indeed, UpWork, etc. Create a spec sheet for each geo so you have a checklist of requirements and specialists for each of them.

This WILL make you $$$!

My problem is that POPADS for example is giving me less that 1000 impression per day if I target Iran or Indonesia with their native language. What should I do?

What this means? The problem is in the offer or in the traffic source?

I don't think the problem is in the offer because even without the offer, if I try, Brazil, Senegal, India...the result is always the same when you target specific languages.

PopAds may be the problem?

It's not regarding only Iran, I'm experiencing the same issue with other countries with specific language and the offer is specific mobile carrier.

Iran is a very bad market --they are embargoed --and have very high inflation and other economic problems.
Any promotion with a cost will have payment issues (unless it's local).

I think it is unlikely due to the languages targeted. It is most likely one or a combination of things.
Offer
Ad Copy
Lander and Lander Copy

There could be other factors as well. Cheap traffic is of no value typically and the caveats of any traffic is knowing how to use partner blocking, day parting, and other factors.

For the offer, did you use any intelligence platform to determine what traffic sources are working, what ad copy and landers are working?

What is your tracker telling you?

How many spears can you sell to Igbo tribesmen in Africa?
You need a decent sized market for a product.
Those ads are cheap for a reason ;)
