What's Your Go-To Strategy for Testing New Affiliate Offers?

Hey everyone,

I'm curious to learn about the different methods you use to test new affiliate offers before scaling up. It's a critical phase, and a solid strategy can save a lot of time and money.

Do you start with a small budget on your primary traffic source? Or do you test across multiple sources simultaneously (e.g., a bit on Facebook Ads, a bit on Google Ads, a bit on native)?

What are your key metrics for deciding if an offer is a winner? Is it just about conversions, or do you look at EPC, CTR, or other indicators? How long do you typically run a test before making a call?

For me, I usually stick to one trusted traffic source and run a small, controlled budget for about 3-5 days, focusing heavily on initial conversion rates and lead quality. If it shows promise, I'll start optimizing the funnel before thinking about scaling.

What's your approach? Let's share some insights!

Hello,
Primarily, I base my campaign budget on the rates of affiliate offers and partner programs. I use a smaller budget for testing a billing model, such as CPL, and a much larger budget for Nutra offers with a more advanced model for clients.

It's definitely more beneficial to run multiple campaigns targeting diverse audiences and ad creatives with a smaller budget. Compared to a large budget, you gain more information (such as the ones you mentioned, such as CTR and EPC) that allows you to scale your earnings. I'm mainly talking about Google Ads because that's where I spend the most money, but I think the principle will be similar for social media ads.
