“Adavice”/  “RollerAds”/

What is the difference between those?

SOI = Single Opt-In
CPL = Cost Per Lead
CPI = Cost Per Install
CPA = Cost Per Action/Acquisition

Which is better, depends on which works for you, which one you're interested in, etc.

SOI = Single Opt-In (essentially this is a 1 page submit with just an email address)
CPL = Cost Per Lead (you get paid for every lead delivered, whether or not they turn into a sale)
CPI = Cost Per Install (you get paid for every install of an app. This has got more tricky with the quality requirements from advertisers)
CPA = Cost Per Action/Acquisition (there is a certain action the user must take. When they take the action you get paid. Example - Fill out a form completely.)

IMHO; actually, CPA is used as an inaccurate acronym. Why:

To my thinking a 'click' or CPC (better said/described as PPC (Pay Per Click)) can be thought of as an 'action.' A click is not usually an involuntary event. A voluntary event is an user initiated 'action'

event (ĭ-vĕntˈ)

  • n.
    Something that takes place; an occurrence.
e.g.; shit happens
action (ăkˈshən)

  • n.
    The state or process of acting or doing
  • n.
    Something done or accomplished; a deed.
  • n.
    Organized activity to accomplish an objective
e.g.; a deliberate event of a person/entity or group
