I see this "word" show up in many places.
I understand it's something I must need to use for the SEO.

Where can i find it and what do I need to do with it? when to use?

Tnx

I see "permalink" show up relating to BLOGs mostly.

For example, a direct link to a normal WordPress blog might look like

http://www.mysite.com/blog/post.php?id=45&cat=91&otherstuff=something

With Permalinks you can make that look like:
http://www.mysite.com/blog/marketing/april/2006/make_a_million
assuming you posted an article called "Make A Million" in April 2006 in the marketing category.

Search engines like that better than a bunch of parameters, and it looks nicer to humans.

Wordpress and Blogger (I think) offer a few options to help format these.

That's my 2 cents.

A blog is also very fluid with articles starting on the front page and moving further back to page 2 then 3 then 4 as new articles are added.

That makes it tricky to link to an article because you never know where it will be.

The "Perma(nent)Link" gives you something static that you can link to, bookmark etc and you know you'll find what you are looking for when you return.
