PPC is short for "pay per click" - there are different CPC programs, such as Bing, Google AdWords, Facebook, etc.

Using these platforms, you select keywords for your campaign that are related to your website and niche. As people are browsing the internet and search for the keywords in your campaign, they will see the ads you made for those keywords, which will take visitors to your page if they click them. Once they click on your ad, you have to pay for that, and the amount depends on how much you set your "bid" at in your campaign. You don't pay the PPC platform anything until someone clicks on one of your ads.
