The most powerful SEO technique in the present day is the emphasis on topical authority and trust, rather than backlinks or keywords alone. Law firms that perform well in search engine results are the ones that have a comprehensive coverage of their areas of practice in a manner that is easy to read and understand, answering the exact question that a potential client would be searching for in the first place. Instead of writing random blog posts, it’s more about creating depth in the areas that matter most and making it easy to read and understand.

Trust, however, also has a huge role to play in the overall equation, including client reviews, attorney profiles, and business information accuracy. Topical authority has worked way better for my legal clients than chasing another batch of backlinks. I just build out every angle of a practice area so Google sees real depth, then mix in high-trust citations. For building those citations and niche edits, I’ve used Crowdo because their links blended in naturally and didn’t mess with the content-first approach.

I agree. Topical authority and trust are becoming increasingly important, especially in competitive industries. That said, quality backlinks still play a key role in building authority and supporting long-term rankings.
