Personally, I believe that in traffic, quality matters most, since it directly shows that the traffic is real and performing. But for some people, volume is still the main priority.

I think that if you have good quality, over time you will be able to also have quantity, but the good kind. So for starters, the quality I would say, it the most important.

For me, quality always beats volume.

You can send thousands of low-quality visits, and get nothing!... Or send few hundred real users and actually convert. I prefer to know my traffic sources are clean and consistent... That´s what really builds results in the long run.
