Tracking Google Analytics conversion via PHP

I have a site where all of my clicks, etc. go back to my URL. Once a person clicks on something to take them to a merchant site it still goes back to my site. I then pull the real aff link out of a DB and use a PHP header() directive to bounce them to the real site. That is my 'conversion' point.

Is there a way to track a conversion like this over in Google Analytics? I know this is usually done via Javascript, but I'd like to avoid bouncing someone through yet ANOTHER page just for my tracking.
