The best way to track in-app purchases?

hey guys,
what is the best way, or the best affiliate software to track in-app purchases? Background: we want to open our app for affiliate marketing. so basically we will have it in the appstore and playstore. so we need a technical solution, to track the leads which are coming from affiliates. thanks for your infos.

What about the ability to place pixels in the app, or something similar? Crazy, I know, just trying to think outside the box.

Every app should have the ID of the download.
An affiliate's ID could be associated with it.

Apps are not stateless like a web page is. A web page does not belong to the user an app does to his device.
Cookies, cross domain pixels or sessions are used with a webpage or website so a browser can report the users actions.
An app is a real time stream: app ID 39458567 did this and affiliate 4009 is associated with the app ID.

The problem is where the database is stored; in app or on the server or; in both locations; as to how permanent the association is of an app to its affiliate referral resulting in a download.

It is important to consider how permanent the association is of an app to its affiliate referral resulting in a download. If the association is permanent, it is more likely that the user will continue to use the app to make purchases through the affiliate. If the association is not permanent, the user may download the app once and then the affiliate will never see any future upsell revenue only receiving the affiliate CPI.
