Hi All, Duke we have paid dearly for everything, optimization our
web site, promised top ten placement, etc, etc, and thousands of pounds, but none worked, we still are not even in the top 500,
we have a great site, around 7 pages, but nothing has worked to get any custom from.

I understand what you say, but please keep in mind that noone can guarantee a top 10 position. At least if you don't know the owner of Google and do some business with him
Anyway, you can improuve step by step your position and optimize your site.

Find some less competive, 3 or 4 word key phrases, then optimize accordingly.

It sux gillian to pay so much and receive so little in return. Is there any way to get some or all of your money back.

I too have seen the adds, guaranteed placement or guaranteed PR. If it isn't so guaranteed then why should you have to pay?
