Here are the steps our affiliates take to earn money from lead generation. It's so simple that I don't understand why more affiliates don't go down this route - you have none of the tracking issues or content writing headaches that come with 'traditional' affiliate marketing.
STEP 1: Sign up at Lead Impact (Lead Impact)
This is not the only UK lead generation network available but it is the one that I run. Having been an affiliate since 2005 I have a deep understanding of the affiliate mindset, payments, return rates etc - we look after our affiliates.
STEP 2: Create a landing page for an offer
Pick an offer you want to run - one that's working really well for affiliates at the moment is Flight Delay Claims. It's currently unsaturated and there is huge growth potential. You are going to be using PPC and/or Social Media to drive traffic and generate leads - this is why you need your own landing page. Depending on your level of web design skill, this can be done by you or outsourced for a small fee. The site needn't be complicated, just a few pages including a contact us and a privacy policy.
STEP 3: Submit a test lead
Use simple host/post instructions supplied by us to make sure that the leads you generate are sent to the relevant buyer in real time. Then submit a test lead to check that all is working.
STEP 4: Create your PPC/social campaigns
Adwords, Bing & Facebook are the platforms used by 99% of our affiliates. Create your campaigns using the detailed step-by-step guides on Affiliate Cloud which includes optimisation techniques, giving your campaigns the best possible chance of success from the outset.
STEP 5: Go live
Put your campaigns live and watch the traffic and leads come in. Your work isn't over there, however. You should be constantly optimising your campaigns based on the data you see, making sure that your ROI is positive and you are scaling the volume as much as possible.
