Rights To Photos / Graphics?

Let's say I wanted to do a quick one or two page affiliate site about the latest Sony Cyber-Shot camera, then link users to a place to buy it.

I want to have a good photo of the Sony Cyber-Shot Camera for my web site. Can I borrow a .jpg of the camera from the Sony Web Site or Amazon to use on my web site? Or do I need to go through the company about this?

Some affiliates provide product images with affiliate links embedded.
If they don't then I assume you need to ask permission from the source, but I've never been in the situation, so am not certain the best way to handle it.

Hopefully some affiliates that have been there and done that will weigh in with some ideas.

If you are promoting products through Amazon, they have lots of options for
product links and widgets.

You can get some really professional images and videos from istock Photo.
You can use them without paying any royalty.

The images sell for $1 or less sometimes.

Ya I almost mentioned that but I think he's talking specific product pictures, not general graphics.
