As mentioned in my intro i am completly computer/internet stupid, can anybody hepl me with the terms of computer speak and what their meanings are:
example - what is a widget? ect

this is so confusing to me as i never really took much interest in the internet until i became self employed and found out how usefull the web really is (i have finally mastered sending emails)

widget is usually used for code snipers (what is code snippets?) or little application or program you can add to a site to make it perform some function the site was probably not designed for originally, for example, if you visit my blog www.temi.co.uk , on the right hand side you will see a Technocrati "widget" which tells you information technocrati have about my blog.
