Qoof finally launched and has a VERY interesting affiliate video concept. Can't believe no one is blogging this yet. <em>I even beat TechCrunch to the punch. I think I finally scooped everyone! </em> ;-)

Qoof has essentially created a community video site for affiliate marketers. Their first product is called Usermercials which are user generated commercials that include an embedded affiliate link. You record the video, add your affiliate link, promote it and share it on Qoof and you keep all the affiliate commissions. They don't take a cut.
<center>A video is worth 1,000 words so I'll let them explain it.

Oops, hmmm can't get the video to post here. Click the pic above to go watch the video. Did I mention they are in <strong>BETA</strong>? :p If you are an affiliate and into video check out <strong><a target="_new" href="http://www.qoof.com/">Qoof</a>!</strong>

Here's the <a target="_new" href="http://www.qoof.com/CORP/Content.aspx?TID=FAQ">FAQ</a> with more details. Here is the <a target="_new" href="http://qoof.blogs.com/qoof/2007/03/the_3_amigos_la.html">Qoof blog and pictures of the founders</a> at the official launch at the VON show.

Whoa!!!!

Its a very good combination of antiquity and modernization. Creatively done in a novel manner.

I love the idea of technology being interspersed with oak-aged 'BETA'.:D

Pretty cool.

I think it sounds like a "bad" word. :p

I looked a long time ago when they 1st launched.
Need to go back to see how things are shaping up.

Hey Maxie,

Sam Harrelson over at Affiliate Fortune Cookies has a good post about Qoof today.

"Video is all the rage as everyone tries to figure out how to monetize video within the context of affiliate marketing.

Qoof is entering the video race, but with an interesting slant towards affiliate marketing.

...I’ve always said that affiliate marketing has an incredible chance to lead the charge to monetize these new platforms because of its nature of relationship.
"

Go read the rest, Sam has a great eye for future trends.

Qoof is new and a little different so it might not be all that easy to understand how it works.

Here is a video presentation by Jonathan Stefansky, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. I took a look at it and it does a rather good job of explaining Qoof, after covering user generated content and affiliate marketing. The video is a little over 15 minutes in length.

Qoof generated lots of excitement at Affiliate Summit in Miami.
Shawn just posted a video about them taken at the Summit.

Because Qoof is a very cool service that's free I think our members would be interested in learning more and keeping up to date with new features or other news.

So I have made an exception to our "no self promotion" rule and
invited them to tell us more and keep us informed of any new developments
that may be of interest to our members.

Thank you very much Linda!

Basically Qoof enables Affiliates to post videos on their blogs and websites instead of just a text or banner ad. These videos are created by the affiliates themselves or by the companies.

We have a film studio in Los Angeles where we shoot videos for our clients. For example we just shot 3 videos for DrugStore.com for their affiliates. You can see them by clicking on the DrugStore.com banner on our beta home page at beta.qoof.com.

So now anyone that is an affiliate of DrugStore.com can take the video, link in their affiliate code, and now use the power of video to drive affiliate sales.

We will hopefully be announcing more deals from your favorite affiliate companies soon, many from deals made at the Affiliate Summit show.

Thanks! I actually wrote the script for that one :)

We are shooting another 2 professional usermercials for DrugStore.com. I really believe that shooting these type of professional videos and allowing affiliates to use them to increase affiliate revenue is the way of the future in affiliate marketing.
