You should have two My-Space accounts, one for business and one for family and friends. Make sure your business profile is professional while the layout of your personal profile is left to your choice.
You must adopt some time to email people who add you as a friend introduce yourself and encourage networking together. This will enable the people to know that you are a real person and not just a spammer and they will want to talk with you and learn more about you.
Do not add too many graphics to your My-Space profile since it takes a long time to load. People will not have the patience to stick around and will not see what you offer.
You can create your own group on a topic you are interested in. This will open the door to more networking for your business.
