Noob tube questions

I did the mainstream SEO website w affiliate ads thing years ago, but taking my first look at the Adult market, For starters I'm just looking to setup a few niche tube sites that would hopefully sell subscriptions to the sites from where the sample videos originate from. And maybe some banner/popunder ads too. Questions...

1. Sample videos - Apparently adult sites which use the trad subscription model (Brazzers, Skeet, etc) make available sample videos that are about 3-8 mins long? I tend to see these identical videos on multiple tube sites with a subscription link nearby. Obviously I guess I need to start contacting these Adult subscription sites to see what they have available, but can anyone here fill me in a little on this? Has anyone here tried this?

2. Hosting - would it be preferable to host these 3-8 min sample videos myself instead of embedding the link? I guess it wouldn't be so bad to link to a sample video that's hosted on the originating subscription site... is that commonly done? (i don't want to keep linking to vids on Redtube or wherever) I also guess I could do a hybrid of hosting some sample vids while embedded linking to some others? (It looks like I can do this with WP-script)

3. What Adult video subscription sites would anyone recommend for this sample video approach? Anyone from any of these lurking here? (If so please reply or DM me)

4. And what affiliate companies does anyone recommend for the banner/popunder ads?

Thanks folks.

Affiliatefix is really not a porn pay site portal.
GFY is --they suck for many reason but they are what they are:

Why select the adult industry? It may be one of the toughest niches to crack.
It is but you have to specialize in something very very specific, like us, focusing on micro-fetish-niches, creating the infamous blue ocean.

All the verticals are hard to crack if you don't put the work in it, might be e-comm or dating.

I agree 100%.

focusing on micro-fetish-niches

That's a far cry from dating micro niches. He is pointing his efforts at hard core porn which is largely controlled by bug bucks and huge competitors. Dating is very different and dating is a better alternative for him to crack I think.

All the verticals are hard to crack

All verticals are not created equal. Many are much easier that others. I think your company may offer more opportunity for this member than the road of porn he is currently exploring.

I don't expect to be making any money off this right away. Just going through the process of trying to figure things out right now.

Is this not the appropriate forum to ask about if subscription sites offer short sample videos for tube sites to link to for sign ups?

Yes, this is it. We just want to get some conversations going regarding the other topics in your original posts. You posted information inquiries about much more.

There are no porn tube sites registered here that I know of, but there are many affiliate programs and affiliate networks here with offers in that niche. The thing is, the adult sites are tightly wrapped and to link to their site videos in order to get signups means you will be building a list off their vids and most may take issue with that. Instead, they will have a preference for you to sign up to their affiliate programs and use the materials they provide (which may include teaser vids) and done with the terms they require to be fulfilled.

Our conversations so far were based on helping to give you some perspective and guidance. Additionally, you haven't responded to any of our remarks until now.

I appreciate your support and your comment.
Honestly, I found e-commerce harder to crack than porn. Of course, if we talk in general terms, it's hard to define what is "crackeable" (new word) or not. I think it might be interesting to collect case studies...

What he wants to do is an MGP gallery site that is a antiquated format really IMHO

This is a list --not an endorsement by me.
You would be surprised, how effective this directory is.
I have seen webs in HTML (sic...) in adult making BIG money

Thanks again. That's kind of what I'm intending... not to build any kind of email list but rather to figure out how these tube sites link from the teaser videos to subscription signups. (If I can also piut some banner/popunders on the site, I'll eventually look into that too)

Thanks, that's encouraging to hear after having done some of that years ago.

Adult affiliate marketing is a tough gig.

We started early back in 1999 with TGPs, link list, Adult Check, AgeCheck, IFriends, etc.

The revenue was insane and flowed for years until tube sites started coming along especially PornHub, YouPorn, etc. Our revenue went down almost 80%.

Now, what used to make thousands a day went down to a few thousand a month. Enough to cover the hosting bills.

The easiest way today is to buy traffic and send it directly to an affiliate program. The margins are razor thin but if you are making 5 cents on every dollar spent then you are profitable and just have to scale up.

Good luck out there

That directory has links to the major porn pay-sites still existing today. The links are 2nd tier referral links --that's his monetization.
That is dependent on rev-share revenue --attrition and churn probably has diminished the revenue.

There is no reliable public data in CPA ventures that is in any way verifiable --I don't believe Google either. Their estimations of keyword volume is probably close to accurate, but IDK for fact.

I believe the SEC when they charge someone --it's public record.
