My name is Kelly from Boston. I've been an internal audit professional for 8 years and recently became involved in a brand new startup offering military discounts and deals at local businesses.
Since my professional background does not involve any sales or marketing, I've been learning about digital marketing through resources online like web tutorials, forums, and so on. I came across this forum in a search for affiliate marketing. I think it could be very useful for the startup I'm working at, and want to learn more about how we could use military spouses as affiliates or "brand ambassadors". Many of these military spouses have blogs and websites with a large following. Since I'm new to marketing, I would like to use this forum to share my experiences, read about other partnerships and understand how to best structure these deals.
In general, I'd also like to understand the best channels to reach both merchants (mangers or owners at local businesses) and consumers (veterans and their spouses). We have been trying to market across all social media now, and I wonder if we should become more focused.
