<strong><em>What do you get when you combine a Nascar veteran, his car, the Daytona 500, affiliate marketing and a leading affiliate network?</em></strong>

<strong>You get a very unique affiliate marketing funded Nascar sponsorship designed to LITERALLY Drive Traffic and Sales!</strong>

This is one of the most unique affiliate marketing twists I've seen in a very long time! Here's the back story, via one of my PR contacts over at Just Drive Media... The Daytona 500 is coming up this Sunday. A NASCAR veteran by the name of Joe Nemechek has teamed with up with the MediaTrust affiliate network to create an affiliate site to help fund Joe's 2010 racing season. This is a 1st in the car racing industry and I'm sure a 1st in affiliate marketing as well.

The affiliate site is called <strong><a href="http://www.frontrowjoe.com">FrontRowJoe.com</a></strong> (his nickname due to his 28 pole starting positions, 20 wins and 183 top 10 NASCAR finishes.) <strong><a href="http://www.frontrowjoe.com">FrontRowJoe.com</a></strong> will be prominently featured on Joe?s car during the big race. The web site points fans to some of "Joe's Picks" - a handful of products he endorses. A portion of earnings from the site will go toward Joe's team racing costs. I believe all the products so far are products from the MediaTrust network, so that's part of how this unique marketing "<em>vehicle</em>" all ties together.

I think this could create a new trend. Think about it! Racers have limited real estate right on their cars for sponsorships. But if they advertise their web site on their car, they have room to feature more sponsors. With the affiliate angle added in - well, it's interesting to say the least.

Here's a snippet from MediaTrust's blog post and below that is a portion of the press release and a link for complete details about how it all works.

<strong><a href="http://blog.mediatrust.com/2010/02/high-performance-racing-meets-high-performance-marketing/">High Performance Racing Meets High Performance Marketing</a></strong>

When fans go to frontrowjoe.com and click on offers, a portion of each lead or sale goes to supporting Joe?s NEMCO motorsports 2010 NASCAR campaign. This convergent marketing program is the first of its kind. We are integrating a traditional offline channel (car sponsorship) with performance marketing, PR, and social media marketing to deliver value to advertisers, drivers (publishers!) and fans (consumers).

We have leveraged PR, twitter, blogging and facebook to begin the awareness generation for the car and FrontRowJoe - Offers. Over the next few days, NASCAR fans will be exposed to this innovative program via press, additional social marketing and the NEMCO team?s cars (Joe?s car is #87, and his other car is #97) speeding around the track for time trials and practice races. However, the real results will come as fans are exposed to the URL over the race weekend. We estimate that 16-17 million people will view the race this year, giving us a lot of impressions for our URL on Joe?s Cars ? which should result in more traffic to FrontRowJoe - Offers than the road into the Daytona tailgate on Sunday morning.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 11, 2010 -- In yet another display of his resourcefulness and dedication to racing, NASCAR legend Joe Nemechek, owner of NEMCO Motorsports, has launched a new ad-sponsored web site, FrontRowJoe - Offers, to enable fans to support him and his team as they compete during the 2010 NASCAR racing season. Through a strategic partnership with MediaTrust, the country's 9th fastest growing company according to Inc. Magazine, and NEMCO?s agency of record Global Media Minds, Joe will earn commissions on sales of top quality products sold through the site to help offset the operating cost of his team.
