Mastering One Traffic Source vs. Testing Many What Worked for Me

When I first started with CPA, I made the classic mistake of spreading campaigns across too many traffic sources. I thought more sources = more chances to win. But in reality, my budget was stretched thin, data was scattered, and I wasn’t learning much from any single channel.
So I flipped the script and went deep on just one traffic source instead. I chose one network I was already getting decent clicks from and decided to understand it inside out. Instead of testing 10 new offers, I:
  • Created 3 variations of the same landing page (different headlines, button placements, and form lengths)
  • Cut out broad targeting and only ran ads where the audience already showed strong intent
  • Rotated multiple ad creatives to see which visuals + copy actually got people to convert, not just click
Within 30 days, the difference was night and day:
  • Conversions doubled
  • Revenue per campaign jumped by ~50%
  • Costs dropped because I was no longer wasting budget on weak placements
The big takeaway: mastering one source deeply often outperforms chasing five at once

But here’s what I also realized: getting traffic is only half the game capturing and keeping it is where long-term profit really comes from. Stay tuned for my next post where I’ll share what worked for me there.
