As a tactic WIIFM (what is in it for me) generally works --something never offered before that makes sense (logical) reliving some well known or common problem.

AI cannot invent new or unique as of yet. AI has no freedom of to conceive the new or unique --most people cannot either, or will try only to struggle with invention or new ideas --a few humans do succeed. Very few ... don't feel bad about it.

The best lead generation strategy is always Advertising if you got budget. I have tried SMS, email marketing ,cold calling and advertising.

What are the most effective strategies for lead generation in B2B marketing, and how can businesses optimize their funnels to convert more leads into customers?
From our experience at the most effective B2B lead generation comes from a mix of targeted outreach and value-driven content — things like case studies, webinars, and SEO focused on real client problems.

To optimize the funnel, it’s important to qualify leads early, personalize communication, and keep sales and marketing closely aligned. Consistency in follow-ups and clear messaging usually make the biggest difference.

In the end, it’s not about more leads — it’s about the right ones.

I actually disagree with the idea that content and webinars are the "most effective" B2B lead generation channels for most businesses.

The biggest problem is that content marketing is slow and highly competitive. You can spend months creating articles, webinars, and case studies without generating a meaningful number of qualified leads.

In many industries, direct outreach still outperforms content by a wide margin. A targeted list, personalized messaging, and a clear offer can produce results in days rather than months.

I do agree that lead quality matters more than lead volume. However, I'd argue that speed of validation matters too. Before investing heavily in content, businesses should first prove demand through outbound campaigns and direct customer conversations.

Content is excellent for scaling a proven offer. It's not always the best way to discover one.

I know this is a late response, but I had to chime in because I've been there. If you're stuck with mid-level leads, I’d look into high-touch B2B events. We started working with MyOutreach to handle delegate acquisition, and it’s the only way we’ve managed to get senior decision-makers in the room.
