Is HoneyGain legit?

I came across an ad of Honeygain today, it's a crowd-sourcing application, to share your internet I guess and you get paid for that ..
I don't know, but it sounds so weird .. is it legit? People find such apps trustworthy?
Anyone here already use it, or maybe still using it, can you tell us more?
