OK, So for whatever reason, we lost our internet connection
yesterday, so had no internet all day or night long. Of course
I was kind of freaking out, because I had ads running on Facebook,
POF, and a couple of other places, and didn't want to end up
spending $3000 for nothing! Well, I finally got everything shut
off using my cell phone, then sat around thinking about things
for the night.
Got up this morning hoping the internet repair guy would be
early, but he never showed up. Again, for-whatever reason, our
internet connection just started working out of the blue again! I
don't know what's going on, go figure, doesn't make any sense to
me either! ha ha
So, I got online and started running all over the place reading
everything I could find on CPA marketing and mobile advertising.
After the last few hours of reading and scouring the internet for
info, I think I see now what has happened (for me at least).
I have come to realize here today, that the big jump into mobile
marketing happened over the last 3 years or so. So, many many
people made it big so-to-speak in mobile, because they got in
when you should have... when it was new and wide open to about
anything.
Now, although there are a ton of people claiming to be able to show
you how to make it big in CPA mobile, the real truth of the matter is,
that horse has run it's course, and unless you have many thousands
of dollars to dedicate to testing to find what's going to work, you need
to stay on the porch. Remember, if you're going to run with the big
dogs, get your wallet out or you best stay your butt on the porch?
I remember watching a video recently where Greg Davis himself told
everyone watching, that if you didn't have money to work with, you
would be pretty much wasting your time, and your money.
I watch all of Greg's stuff when I can, I think he is a great marketer
and knows what he is talking about, so I respect his judgement when
it comes to CPA and mobile. He hasn't made millions by not knowing
what he's talking about, that's for sure.
So, I think many of us have missed the boat. The big money income
from mobile was from 2009/2010 to 2013. Now everyone and there
grandma is trying to do it, and it's just not that easy any more. I hear
people talking about remembering the days they used to get traffic
for .002 and .005 per click!! Why can't you do that any more? Because
the market is saturated to death with everyone trying to make their
$1000 a day!
I also know from years of playing the internet marketing game, that the
big dogs will always get first dibs on the kick-butt offers. The little guys
get the scraps if there is anything left after the big dogs have taken their
fill.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be a downer, but I am also trying to
be realistic and looking at the big picture. Yes, I think you can still make
money at CPA and mobile, but I also think you need a hell of a lot more
to work with than $100, $200, $500 even more than $2000!
I think the opportunities are out there, but you're going to need to find
them, and that may cost a few thousand to dig them out. I few thousand
may not be very much to some people, but it's the difference between
eating and feeding my kids and losing it all "hoping" to hit just the right
one and make it.
I thought I had the right idea when I came back to the internet, and still
think I do, but the "guru's" just are not out there. I contacted two of them
who actually advertise one their sites that they would train people for
$x.xxx amount of dollars, but never contacted me back! It sounds like a
good idea at first, but the secrets get held pretty tightly to the vest when
it comes down to teaching someone what really works. To many people
doing what "really" works, and it doesn't work anymore. Can you say
1 cent facebook clicks?
I would love to take Greg up on his $50,000 offer and get some training
from him, but come on... ha ha, where am I going to get $50,000 from?
ha ha If I had $50,000, I'd feel like a millionaire!
So anyway, I'm going to hold onto what little money I have left and move
along in life. The World is a changing place, and I don't think there is a hell
of a lot of time left to really make much before the big banksters pull the
plug. I was hoping to take part in the fun before it all goes to hell, but I
waited to long on this one.
I may look around for a mentor a bit longer, but I'm not going to waste any
more money just tossing it at campaign after campaign hoping something
clicks.
